LG Boss Warns Contractors Against Shoddy Work

The Chairman of Ethiope East Local Government Council, Delta State, Mr. Tony Oboroh has advised contractors handling contracts awarded to them by the council to be wary of poor execution of the contracts.
Mr. Anthony Oboroh gave this advice while inspecting projects awarded to contractors by the local government council recently.
He told contractors at the site to ensure that better and quality materials were used for the projects awarded, noting that the idea of using low quality material in order to make much gains would not be condoned by his administration.
Oboroh said he decided to embark on the inspection of projects across the local government having understood that most contractors consider what comes into their pocket more important than doing a quality job that would stand the test of time.
He reminded the contractors that there were job specifications in awarding the contracts, that any job that falls below the terms of contract would not be acceptable by the council.
The council boss urged the contractors to execute projects awarded to them so as to maintain a lasting relationship with the council.
Among the projects inspected were the tarring of the council access road with inter locking stones, fencing of the magistrate court, the new ultra modern secretariat which was at the foundation level, the water scheme project and others across the local government.
